The same is the case with our clothing. Wearing a corset can be considered one of the simplest and easiest ways to slim the waistline and elevate the curves. Not to mention that you don’t have to spend hours working out to shed unwanted weight. This makes corsets an excellent wardrobe addition if you want immediate results. That being said, you learn some things when it comes to wearing a corset, which is tightlacing. '
How to Lace the Corset: Tips to Help
When it comes to lacing a proper corset for waist training purposes, there are certain things that you need to keep in mind. Surely that might seem like a nerve-wracking task, but with the right help, you will be just fine. So, on that note, we are here to give tips on lacing the corset best. We will discuss some ways to lace the corset so that you can be trained properly if you are a beginner.
1. Integrate Bunny Ears
Is it possible to straight-lace the corset from top to bottom as you do with a shoe? Well, yes, but that isn’t something we would advise if you want to ensure that the task of corset lacing is simple. The tightening process will be straightforward if you go ahead and get the lacing part correctly and let the bunny ears’ hand loose. All the tension around the garment will be pretty uniform, and you don’t have to put much stress on the panels as well. So, you will be able to preserve the garment for much longer. Now that can be done this way.
You will have to cross the laces over from the outside and under from the inside from the corset edge. Make sure the center has laces outside so you can make the loops. So, count from the center section two grommets on the sides, which will be over, and you count up in groups of 2 grommets and repeat the sequence until you have reached the top. Whether you are under or over in the sequence, that is how you will start the lacing of the Underbust or the overbust corset. Make sure that when you get to the middle you have some lace to create the hoops.
Once the lacing has been inserted in the top grommets, you must cross them and then push them through the next section. If the lacing through the top section is under, you must cross the laces and properly insert them through the upcoming set. Then again, you will cross them under and try to push them out. Once you reach the bottom grommets, you must tie the knot securely in the ends and pull slack through the hoops in the center. These hoops can now be used to tighten the corset. Sounds pretty simple. This is one of the best ways to ensure full success in lacing corsets.
2. Pull Them Tight Like Shoelaces
Once the corset has been laced, and you have managed to strap it on, there are some tightening options that you need to follow. If you have a flexible body type or someone to help you out in the process, you can tighten the corset as you would your shoe. That can be done when you pull out the outer edges and take them toward the center. Make sure you do that one row at a time, and then you can create enough tension through the entire garment in the best way.
3. Your Doorknob Can Help
Are you unable to reach the laces behind you, and there is no one to help you? Well, you don’t have to worry about that since we also have a solution to this problem. Just grab the hoops you have made with satin lacing and loop them properly around any doorknob in your house. It is preferable to use one lace per knob on both sides of the door. The tightening will be uniform without hassle when you start pulling away from the door.
What Are The Easiest Corsets to Lace?
Even the most flexible of women might have some trouble tightening the laces on an overbust corset that is tall. If you want to make sure that your daily waist training routine is a complete success, you must go for a much shorter Underbust corset. Sometimes, lacing and tightening a waspie might also be an easier choice. These corsets are pretty easy to lace and will provide you with the comfort you need.
Why Not Choose A Busk?
We know what you must be thinking right now. Why not choose the amazing busks of the corsets and save ourselves from this daily trouble? Well, that might not be an ideal thing to do for sure. When you use the busks to get in and out of the corset, there can be some problems. We understand that sometimes you are just in a hurry, and during those times, busk can be a life savior. However, loosening laces can be a good thing when trying to wear the garment.
