Wear Your Corset To Bed
If you are waist training and trying to fit in a certain number of hours in your corset, you’ve probably thought about the overnight shift. Can you wear your corset to bed? Will you be able to sleep? Let’s take a look at some of the things to consider if you want to wear your corset while you sleep.
Not So Tight
When you lay down, you may notice that your corset feels a lot tighter. This have to do with gravity and how your organs deal with it. You muscles relax when you lay down, causing your midsection to expand. The way to work with this is to loosen up your corset just a little bit. Allow your body some room for relaxation.
Take It Slow
We’ve said this so many times, but take it slow when working towards wearing your corset all night. You might want to take your corset off for a while before you go to bed, leaving your body some time to relax. Or maybe loosening your laces will be enough for you. Everyone is different, so pay attention to your body’s cues.
Waking Up
The whole point of sleep is to make your body relax. So don’t feel bad if you don’t fall into a deep slumber right away. But if you find yourself waking up at night multiple times while wearing your corset, you may want to consider loosening it up a little bit more. All of your processes slow down at night, including your breathing. You will want to make sure that you are able to continue breathing and getting oxygen, which will make sure that you have a restful night’s sleep. Without it, you may experience being startled awake and find yourself feeling very tired in the morning.
Pay attention to your body as you lay down. If you feel like you are having a panic attack, slow down and loosen up your corset. There is no rule about how tight it has to be at night, but you can increase your time in your corset by experimenting with wearing it overnight.
